Steampunk Styled Trunk
Made using Steampunk Débutante Paper from Graphic 45. Ranger Grunge Paper embossed with Paisley embossing folder. I cut the grunge paper in strips, top stitched around the edge and used vintage photo to colour. This simulated the look of leather strapping. Some metal pieces already had a patina...the rest were aged with Apple Cider Vinegar and sea salt. This info came by way of Articus Studiio...a shop I am just checking out. There is a sage pouch on the front left corner. I received this at the friendship centre for the Shuswap Indians when we lived in B.C. I aged metal corner for the bottom. Some of the charms were made using shrink plastic...I am undecided. Caroline was nice to give me samples to try. I used some Oxford Impression stamps and Lost Coast Stamps. Also I stamped a piece of mica and overlaid one of the images on the left side of the box. There are numerous things about this that our of significance. I was encouraged by my doctor to make myself a box, and then I signed up for Willowing's Life Book Event, and it was suggested that we make a special box....I was nearing completion but it just seems like things happen the way they are suppose to.
