Cigar Box

My latest project a Cigar Box I used Lindy's Chocolate Truffle on the interior and exterior. On The top I used a 6X6 paper from the Tim Holtz crowded attic collection. I matted it with a 7X7 piece of kraft cardstock. They were distressed with Vintage photo. I painted a polymer corner with the same Lindy's for a lovely look. Two Coffee filter flowers cut with the tattered flowers die and spray with Lind's Moon Shadow Mist in Tawny Turquoise. Also a flower from Wild Orchid Crafts touch along the edge with the Chocolate Truffle. Just for a little something I added a German Foil Bee flying toward the flowers.

Inside I made a collage using the Pink Paisley Butterfly Garden Stamps and Ephemera. Additionally I lined both the inside and outside bottom with felt.

I recently purchased my first vintage pictures and thought they would be good for storage as I think they should probably be kept out of the light.

Afternoon Movie and Crafting

I remember seeing this lady on Ophra a few years back, and hearing her story.
Amazing and tragic! I am watching the movie this afternoon. The trailer looks really good.

Definitely an excellent movie, difficult parts to view, but that is her story and continues to be the story of many females....This comes with a hankie advisory. I know I needed several.

A Little Wabi-sabi

"Wabi-sabi is the most conspicuous and characteristic feature of traditional Japanese beauty and it occupies roughly the same position in the Japanese pantheon of aesthetic values as do the Greek ideals of beauty and perfection in the West."[ "if an object or expression can bring about, within us, a sense of serene melancholy and a spiritual longing, then that object could be said to be wabi-sabi."[ "[Wabi-sabi] nurtures all that is authentic by acknowledging three simple realities: nothing lasts, nothing is finished, and nothing is perfect." - Wikipedia

Creating an Abundant World

Poverty on both a personal and worldwide level is support by our collective belief in scarcity. We deeply fear that there is not enough to go around of whatever we need-money, food love, energy, or appreciation. As we begin to acknowledge that this is a rich universe with plenty for all of us, we create a world that supports this belief. We are capable of channeling tremendous joy and prosperity in this life.

There is enough of everything for everyone

Butterflies Dream In Turquoise

feel free to use this image if you would like....created using Dover Butterfly Brushes

Wouldn’t It Be Nice ?

Wouldn't it be nice if we could see the true nature of ourselves and others?

Each a jewel in a rich tapestry.

Different colors and cuts adding to the brilliance of the whole.

Wouldnt it be nice if we could cherish this beauty and brilliance?

We could fully rejoice in another success, and hold their hearts close during times of sorrow.

Wouldnt it be nice to fully comprehend how we are our brother?

To nurture and love life without restriction.

Wouldnt it be nice if peace ruled and children everywhere could relish in the magic of ordinary days?
