Latest Projects

My 2nd ATC and some cone flowers made that might be used for the Red Project

G45 Steampunk Debutante paper. The back ground had been embossed on. It was not a very good job, but had great texture. I painted it with Folkart metallic paint in copper added copper leaf, copper colored wire squirls. I also punched out the design from the flip side and glued them of. Before attaching the wire and the feathers I covered it in a coat of US ArtQuest PPA in Matte.

I saw a tutorial on this where the lady made the flowers using the Folkart Metallic paint. I thought they would be great in metallic red if they carried that color, and they did. Additionally, the same line of paper was used. I then embossed the edges of the cones in Zing copper embossing powder and in the center of the cone and applied some copper stickles. The paper/stems were painted with Folkart metallic antique copper.

Love how the flowers turned out.. and the ATC with the top hat is just great. Maybe we should do an ATC swap ~smile~.

Thanks Cheryl...besides being inspired by the cone flower tutorial I watched, I was also inspired by your cake flowers...:. However, I do not recommend eating these.
